Ninove 2009

I wasn't at Ninove but i did found some photo's of early bays:
(first photo from Kieft&Klok, than followed by photo's from Humby and the last one from Niels (aka Airmighty)

Standard is the new low! (like the Surfbus..)

I just love this Deluxe! I found out that this lovely Deluxe sits on Mooneye Speedmaster rims.
The owner is Barry en his Deluxe got 'Top 10' in Ninove.

Front braking, part2

2 Weeks ago i put the new calipers and disks on with the helping hands from Kees and Erik. Thanks boys!

Old caliper off.

The sealing in the old caliper looked bad.

Adaptors wich are fitted to the late bay calipers. With this i still can drive with early bay brakedisks.
(sorry for the blurry photo)

New brakedisk on.

New brakedisk+caliper.

Heating the end of brakeline so the bolt comes off.

Everything installed!

Wintertime clubday

Some photo's (made by Marcel) from a clubmeeting in the Netherlands. The VCT2-club organiseses clubdays in wintertime about technical subjects, this time the subject was elektra.
I took us a 2 hour drive to get there. But always nice to ride the early bay!

Me, looking cool and getting cold!

Just a mildly tuned 1641 cc engine without double carbs and 4-in-1-exhaust!

Foggy! On the returndrive it was sunny!

Talking to a late bay...

Checking the state of the battery.

Front braking

Next week i'am going to refresh the  brake disks and calipers. I found out there is a difference between the disks and calipers of the early bay (mine's a '71) and the late bays.
I'm goint to mount late calipers thanks to a fitting kit from Just Kampers. Calipers for early bay's are expensive and rare! (Yes, i'll keep the old ones!!)

Photo introduction

Introduction

This blog is in English because i am finding more foreign buslovers. And the best way to communicate is in English!
For dutch readers there is also www.surfbus.web-log.nl

About the Surfbus; it's a 1971 bay with a Dormobile roof, a Westfalia interior (from a late bay) and a mild 1641 cc engine.
